Ever want to design your own watch? Your colors? Your choice of quartz, chrono or automatic? That’s exactly the business of 121 Time. Above all that, this is a completely swiss made timepiece that you can personalize with engravings. They periodically offer a “timepiece of the day” with a reduced discount. Since you are buying direct, the prices are spectacular for a swiss made watch. How about the new “Aero” model in black? Yummy.

From their press release we learn:
The name of the TIRION is derived from the constellation of Orion, one of the most easily recognizable and brightest in the heavens, located in the equatorial region of the sky. The TIRION TriRetrograde Seconds Skeleton is available in a stainless steel version and an exquisite red gold version. The seconds retrograde are separated in three, twenty-second sectors each. An exclusive, special version of the timepiece also includes a Swiss quality mechanical movement with automatic winding.

This watch crossed my path today when visiting WorldLux.com. This watch features an automatic movement with a fairly generous 42 hour power reserve. Weighing in at 42mm without the crown, this watch definitely makes a bold statement on the wrist without being ostentatious.

Going back to my love of things vintage, today brings in the Louis Erard Heritage Chronograph. This watch pays homage to the older military watches popular during the late 1920’s and early 1930’s as far as it’s dial work. The crown, subdials and pushers are quite modern but don’t detract from the vintage styling. I think I would have liked to see them using wire lugs, but that’s just a small suggestion to this otherwise beautiful watch.

Croton as a company is backed by a man who gives his word that his warranty can’t be beat. In a world where watch companies are offering only 1 year warranties, and some are offering the rare 5 year warranty, Croton offers a limited lifetime warranty on all their watches. For this reason, I decided to give them a try recently with their two toned diver. This is probably one of my favorite watches. It is a fairly high quality watch for a little bit of money, with a great homage design of a Rolex Submariner. The Japanese Miyota automatic movement is a real workhorse, and is every bit as accurate as any Swiss engine. While I picked mine up at my local T.J. Maxx, you can snag this baby at just about anywhere.
